October 1948Started business processing and selling synthetic resin
October 1948Commenced business with Yoshihara Plant of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. for delivery of synthetic resin products
May 1950Received order for the manufacture of steering wheels from Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and started delivery in September of the same year
August 1958Established Tokyo Sales Office in Minato-ku, Tokyo
(This function currently performed at both Atsugi and Tochigi)
July 1960Opened a factory in Aoshima, Yoshiwara City, Shizuoka Prefecture, and moved the head office and factory there from Imaizumi, Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture. (The head office division split in September, 1973, moving to Aoshima, Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture and the Fuji factory moved to Kitayama, Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture in July of 2001.)
June 1968Commenced business with Honda Motor Co., Ltd.
September 1969Opened Isesaki Plant (1st plant) in Yattajimamachi, Isesaki City, Gunma
March 1973Opened Isesaki Plant (2nd plant) in Naganumamachi, Isesaki City, Gunma
February 1977Opened the Kyushu factory in Shin’yoshitomi Village (now Kōge town) in Chikujo District, Fukuoka Prefecture.
July 1980Opened Isesaki Plant (3rd plant) in Naganumamachi, Isesaki City, Gunma
February 1984Established Neaton Auto Products Manufacturing Inc. (hereafter referred to as Neaton Auto Products) as a wholly-owned subsidiary in Ohio, U.S.A..
July 1989Opened the Fujinomiya factory (merged with the Fuji factory in October, 2009, changing its name to become the current Fuji factory (District 2)) in Yamamiya, Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
December 1990Registered stock of corporation with Japan Securities Dealers Association
August 1991Established Nihon Plast Indonesia in Bekasi, West Java, Republic of Indonesia
November 1991Opened the technical center on the premises of the Fujinomiya factory (now the Fuji factory (District 2)).
March 1994Established wholly owned subsidiary Nihon Plast Mexicana in El Marques, Queretaro, Mexico
January 1997Closed Tokyo Sales Office and established Atsugi Sales Office and Tochigi Sales Office
September 1998Concluded a business collaboration agreement with Kansei Co., Ltd. (changed its name to the Marelli Corporation in October, 2019)
May 1999Established NP Service Co., Ltd. In Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture (moved to Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture in March 2005)
June 1999Fuji Plant and Fujinomiya Plant obtained ISO 9001 certification
April 2000Established Neaton Rome Inc. as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Neaton Auto Products in Georgia, U.S.A.
September 2000Kyushu Plant obtained ISO 9001 certification
December 2000Fujinomiya Plant obtained ISO 14001 certification
July 2001Relocated Fuji Plant (1st plant) to Kitayama, Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Name of Fujinomiya Plant changed to Fuji Plant (2nd plant)
August 2001Obtained QS 9000 certification (Isesaki Plant and Kyushu Plant obtained ISO 9001 certification)
January 2002Kyushu Plant obtained ISO 14001 certification

September 2002Commenced business with SUZUKI MOTOR CORPORATION

February 2003Established Nihon Plast (Zhongshan) Co., Ltd. in Zhongshan, Guangdong, People’s Republic of China.
March 2004Issued 1 million new shares for allocation to third parties and increased capital to 2 billion yen
November 2004Established Nihon Plast (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in Rayong, Thailand.
December 2004Withdrew registration from Japan Securities Dealers Association and registered corporate stock with JASDAQ Securities Exchange, Inc.
July 2005Issued 4 million new shares for allocation to third parties and increased capital to 3.2 billion yen
January 2006Established Technical Center 2 in Yamamiya, Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka
April 2007Established subsidiary Nihon Magnesio in Queretaro, Mexico through investment by Nihon Plast Mexicana and Neaton Auto Products Manufacturing
